We are proud of Legend Films' close relationship with Ray Harryhausen, one of the great pioneers of stop-motion animation and early special effects. Ray wanted to shoot many of his early films in color, but could not do so due to the high cost and sub-par quality of the color film stock in the 1950's. When Ray saw the exceptional quality of Legend Films' colorization process, he was excited to apply his original color vision of his classic films such as Twenty Million Miles to Earth, Beast from 20,000 Fathoms, Mighty Joe Young, Earth vs. The Flying Saucers, and It Came From Beneath the Sea.
Legend Films has a very close relationship with Shirley Temple Black. In addition to restoring and colorizing many Shirley Temple movies, we manage Shirley's official website at www. shirleytemple.com. From her personal library, Shirley and Legend are issuing the never-before-released one-hour episodes from her memorable 1961 TV series in our Shirley Temple Storybook Collection. As part of this timeless collection, Shirley asked us to restore and colorize The Early Years – her first works in show business. Our association with Shirley Temple Black will continue with more offerings from her personal library.
